Victor is driven by the vision of transforming biotechnology through software and unlocking the full potential of genomics and personalized treatment.
Since founding Desktop Genetics (www.deskgen.com) in 2012, Victor has led the company’s business development and CRISPR genome-editing initiatives, placing the fast-growing company at the forefront of CRISPR therapeutics research. As COO, he is responsible for raising c. $3M business financing, scaling operations to support a 20-person team, doubling sales year on year and leading the execution of $1M of R&D projects.
Victor hold an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London and an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge. In 2017, Victor was nominated Forbes 30 Under 30, MIT Innovator Under 35 and Entrepreneur of the Year by the MIT Technology Review.
A firm believer that innovation and entrepreneurship lies with graduates, PhDs and postdocs who combine energy and optimism with bright ideas and promising technology. He is passionate about supporting this through my support of the promotion of entrepreneurship in schools and universities and by regularly speaking and mentoring at university clubs and business plan competitions.
